Refund Policy
Tuition fee refund policy
BCT Institute has drafted this refund policy in order that every student is aware of the procedures and practices relating to refunds and also to comply with good customer relation service and practice.
Whereas the college understands that unforeseen circumstances may compel a student to withdraw from a particular course, students non the less, should understand that the college makes decisions as to resource levels for a course subject to demand for the course and the formation of a viable student cohort.
Full course fee will be refunded to all students in the event that BCT Institute does not proceed with a course or programme. Only in very exceptional circumstances however, will BCT Institute consider refunding fees or part of any fees paid where a course or programme is run as planned. Where BCT Institute agreed to a refund of fees or part of any fees paid, an administration cost of €250 will be deducted.
- BCT Institute accepts no obligation what so ever to refund any fee or part of any fee paid in respect of any course, programme or service provided by the college.
- Under no circumstances will BCT Institute refund the deposit, or any part of the deposit paid in respect of a students’ registration for a course, unless the college is unable to run the course registered for or, in the event that course dates and/or times have been changed, that these changed times are not acceptable to the student.
- Under no circumstances will BCT Institute refund membership or registration fees paid by the student, in respect of a students’ registration with the validating body for the relevant course or exam fees, except in the event that the college is unable to run the course registered for.

- Where a student has to withdraw from BCT Institute for the whole or part of an academic year for which he/she has registered or paid a fee and the withdrawal is due to very exceptional circumstances, beyond the student's control which are documented and which are likely to significantly impact upon their ability to successfully follow the course, a partial refund of any fee paid may be considered by the College. Where, in the circumstances detailed above, a student does not attend any of the courses or where a student commences lectures but withdraws before the third week of a programme of study, part of the fee paid may be refunded. Applications for such refunds must be addressed to the College Director and made on the BCT Institute’s Application Refund Form and returned to the College Director before week five of the course registered for.
- Student may however defer their registration on a course or programme of study to an alternative intake period or a nominated alternative course of study. This alternative course of study needn’t necessarily be the same course as that originally registered upon but must be at the same course fee level or value.
- Medical insurance and accommodation costs paid by the student are non-refundable from BCT Institute.
