Course Overview
The Certificate in Information Technology provides the student with an introduction to the various elements of Information Technology. The programme is designed to provide the learner with a variety of modules allowing the learner develop specific skills in the various disciplines within information technology.
Entry Requirement
Course entry into this FETAC course will be considered on a number of criteria – FETAC Level 4 Certification- Irish Leaving Certification or International High school Certification or on current business status or business responsibilities. All potential students intending to enter this course will undergo an interview process with the course Director who will have the final decision on the eligibility of the student to undertake this course.

Course Progression
FETAC awards include features that support academic progression to additional educational platforms and a number of options and opportunities exist for progression to level 6 and to higher levels on successful completion of this course. In addition BCT will work with all students on completion of the course to endeavor to secure suitable business interviews and contacts.
Course Protection For Learners
If due to an insufficient cohort intake on this course, BCT cannot commence the course, then all registered learners will be entitled to a full and total course refund. Full and total learner protection for this course when it commences in April 2012 is provided in accordance with section 43 – 47 of the Qualifications Act 1999 and in line with the FETAC Protection for Learners, Procedures (Revised) October 2011.Under this PFL procedure, arrangement are in place that two alternative providers will run the course for all of the students registered to do the course at BCT. These two providers are: National College of Business Administration (NCBA) and Eden College.
